As someone who digests endless design blogs, Pinterest posts and a myriad of Instagram feeds, I am always on the look out for an exceptional interior designer. When I stumbled onto Sophie Paterson on Instagram I was immediately smitten!
As you can see this English rose has an unmistakable resemblance to Kate Middleton. Her British accent and sophisticated facade immediately draw you in. If you have seen her on You Tube you would agree her home tours are enchanting. SP's spaces are pure design inspiration!
More than just a pretty face, Sophie Paterson's design work is AMAZING! Her monochromatic rooms are design heaven. Muted tones, exquisite millwork, rich fabrics and refined accessories are all signatures of Sophie Paterson interiors. Prepare to fall down the design rabbit hole=;)
As one would expect her London based firm caters primarily to residence in the London metropolitan area. She is truly a town and country designer. Her work translates seemlessly from a Notting Hill townhouse to a Surrey English country estate. The above photo demonstrates her use of high-end fabrics, art, crown molding and an interesting mix of metals and marble.
The millwork in this office lends to more of country home feel. Definitely a "refined" fixer upper.
With the recent birth of her daughter Ava, Sophie had an opportunity to create a beautiful nursery replete with a Hermès throw. Doesn't every infant need a cashmere throw=:)
This lavender shaded room serves as Sophie's spare bedroom (lucky guests). What I love about the space is how simple elements brought the space to life. A light oak bureau, a starburst mirror, two tone walls, a wicker basket, etc. This is all very obtainable without breaking a design budget.
What an inviting kitchen! Clearly SP knows that the kitchen is the heart of the home and normally where all guests end up!
SP did a recent project in Spain. Al fresco dining never looked so appealing.
This final image looks as though it could be set in a boutique hotel. It is actually the entryway of SP's Surrey country home outside London. She designed the railing that she paired with marble steps and the pièce de résistance is the bespoke églomisé mirror that offer guests an opportunity to view an antique crystal chandelier.
